Emmett Skeffington. Our main hero. A boy of eleven. He suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which makes him bones break easily. He's the leader of the group of kids known as The Redbone society.
Dr. Edmund Bugenhagan. His name spelling changes often. His daughter died five years ago and he's attempting to bring her back. He's obsessed wiht his family and work and has a one tracked. He's the main villian because he started the zombie outbreak.
Laurent Montgomery. A seven year old student with a big mind. He's curious and always willing to help. He's quiet and generally keeps to himself, though he is open to share his ideas. He's the person who came up with the name for their group.
Phineas Menen. Fifteen years old athlete. One of Emmett's room-mates along with Laurent and Rogan. Emmett looks up to him as a role-model of sorts. He's good at anything physical and horrible at anything academic. He's brave, helpful and a bit stand-offish.
Rogan MacMillan. A twelve year old outcast of sorts. He carries around the blood stained leg bone of his dead dog, Lucille. Because of his lucky bone, kids see him as weird and cruel. In reality, he's shy, quiet and a little bit of a scatter brain. He also has a slight sense of humor that not many understand. His bone is where they get the group name.Amelia Skeffington. Emmett's seventeen year old sister and a pupil of the next door academy.
